How a shift works

The pit

The pit has 25 plots. Plots 1 to 24 are the largest graduated pump.fun coins by market cap, one per ticker, each at least 24 hours old. The list refreshes every 10 minutes and a new shift always uses the latest list. Plot 25 is always $DIG.

A shift

A shift runs for 60 seconds. You can send diggers to any plots during that time. When it closes, one plot breaks through, the shift settles, and the next shift starts after 12 seconds.

Every plot has the same 1 in 25 chance of breaking through. How much SOL sits on a plot does not change its odds, only how the haul is shared.

Split and solo plots

Each shift, 10 plots are solo and the rest are split. Solo plots are flagged, and you can see them before you deploy.

• A split plot breaks through: every digger on it shares the haul, in proportion to the SOL each put there.
• A solo plot breaks through: one digger on the plot takes the whole haul. Your chance is your share of the SOL on that plot.

Digging cost

After the draw every digger's SOL goes back to their balance. The plot that broke through keeps 98% of what was put on it, every other plot keeps 89%. See Fees for where the rest goes.
